2024-2025 Leadership Team Applications
It is time for students interested in serving as a member of Sprague's 2024-2025 HOSA Leadership Team to apply. COMPLETED APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY TUESDAY, MAY 21! Positions, expectations, and application requirements are described in detail below.
Club advisors will be meeting and choosing the team from the list of applicants and will announce the 2024-2025 Sprague HOSA Leadership Team by TUESDAY, MAY 28
APPLICATION PROCESS - RUNNING FOR AN OFFICE:
Create a Google Doc and send it to an advisor with the following addressed:
A paragraph telling us who you are and why you would be the best candidate for the position
A paragraph explaining why you want to be a part of the leadership team
A paragraph explaining what you would want to accomplish next year and where you want to improve our HOSA club
Ask a teacher to complete a recommendation form on your behalf. Copies of the form are available in room 56.
STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2024!
Sprague HOSA finished up the Oregon State Leadership Conference last week! We had 17 students competing individually and in teams against 40 other high schools in the State of Oregon in events such as Medical Terminology, Sports Medicine, and Nutrition.
We had three top 5 placers:
Kyra Loa in Behavioral Health
Ava Wolf in Mental Health Promotion
The team of Jocelyn Neufer and Bella Mary in Public Health.
Two teams medaled and qualified for nationals in the Public Health event.
The team of Holly Chen and Lana Rinkin placed 3rd
The team of Kosi Nwaele, Jaida Carodine, and Simran Gandhok placed 2nd
In addition, Hope Hernandez and Kosi Nwaele made the National Health Science Honor Roll.
HOSA is a professional student organization and a powerful instructional tool that provides students the opportunity to gain skills in personal management, problem solving, communication, teamwork, employment foundations and career development outside of the classroom as the prepare to pursue careers in health care.
The purpose of HOSA is to develop leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program.

Becoming a member is simple:

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COMPETE, submit your payment of $20 to the bookkeeper and then show the advisor your receipt of payment. Scholarships are available! Talk to an advisor
